Asian Art Museum

Experience over 6,000 years and thousands of geographic miles through the collection at the Asian Art Museum. The museum, founded in the 1960s, houses over 17,000 artifacts, including paintings, arms and armor, basketry, jewelry, and more.

Hours: Tues - Wedn: 10 am to 5 pm
Thurs: 10 am to 9 pm
Fri - Sun: 10 am to 5 pm
Closed Mondays.
Season: Open year-round
Price: Adults: $12
Seniors 65 and older (with ID): $8
College students with ID and youths ages 13 - 17: $7
Children 12 and under: Free

The Asian Art Museum does not have a parking facility, but it is served by several parking facilities within walking distance.



 Directions

From the East Bay:
Cross the Bay Bridge and exit at 9th Street/Civic Center. Follow 9th Street which turns into Larkin. Go two blocks. The Asian Art Museum will be on your right, between Fulton and McAllister. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.

From the Peninsula:
Take 101 North and exit at 9th Street/Civic Center. Follow 9th Street which turns into Larkin. Go two blocks. The Asian Art Museum will be on your right between Fulton and McAllister. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.

From the North Bay:
From the Golden Gate Bridge, take Doyle Drive to Lombard. Follow Lombard to Van Ness. Turn left at McAllister and go two blocks to Larkin. The Asian Art Museum will be on your right between Larkin and Hyde. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.
