 Some More Things to Know

Primitive campground located approximately 50 yards from the south bank of the North Fork Stanislaus River, in a grove of mature Ponderosa Pine and Black Oak. Campground is just downstream from the small summer recreational community of Board's Crossing; please respect private property while recreating in this area.

Emergency medical services are available at the Arnold Medical Clinic, in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold. Gas, groceries, etc. available in Arnold and Camp Connell.

Good fishing for wild (non-stocked) Brown and Rainbow Trout in North Fork Stanislaus River. Late season deer hunting.



 Directions

four miles south of the town of Dorrington, off Sourgrass/Board's Crossing Road (Forest Road 5N02). Take Highway 4 to Dorrington. Turn south on the Board's Crossing Road and follow paved road all the way to the river; cross the river, continue uphill and watch for a dirt road on the right, just before the junction with Forest Road 5N14. Follow this dirt road as it switchbacks down to the river. Continue past the private residences until you reach the campground.

Board's Crossing Road is a is a narrow, steep and winding paved route where safe travel speeds average 20-30 mph; campground access road is un-paved, and is not recommended for trailers
