The trail head is at the bottom of a long, narrow, winding road 8.7 miles in length. The trail is moderately steep, and joins the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) after approximately one mile. After following the PCT for 0.5 mile you will reach the Middle Fork of the Feather River. Good campsites along the river. Trail head T23N, R8E, Section 1, Elevation - 3800 feet. NOT RECOMMENDED for horses. ATV's & motorbikes PROHIBITED.
