Costa Mesa Festivals and Events

Orange County Fair is a premier family attraction offering a wide variety of exhibits, foods, entertainment, rides and hands-on activities. Enjoy headline concert series, working farm and petting zoos, thrill rides, contests, and games. (July-August).

Orange County Performing Arts Center is well known for both its award-winning architecture and facilities and for the exceptional quality of performances offered there. Schedule: Monty Python's Spamalot and Rent in October, American Ballet Theater and Spring Awakening in November, and Xanadu and An Osmond Family Christmas in December. Also, the annual production of A Christmas Carol will take place at neighbor theater, South Coast Repertory November 28-December 26.

Classic Jazz Festival is an annual classic jazz festival with nearly two dozen different bands and one non-stop party! (August)

Farmer's Market California certified farmers' markets are the real thing - places where genuine farmers sell fruits, nuts and vegetables directly to the public. Every farmer who sells at a certified market is inspected by the county agricultural commissioner to make sure he/she actually grows the commodity being sold. Every Thursday at the Orange County Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive. 8 AM to 12 PM.

Ancient Paths, Modern Voices: A Festival Celebrating Chinese Culture at the Philharmonic Society of Orange County brings to Southern California a bicoastal, Carnegie Hall festival paying tribute to China's diverse and vibrant culture and its influence around the world. Marking the first time that Carnegie Hall's live festival will be offered to audiences outside of New York City, the West Coast Edition will take place at the Orange County Performing Arts Center October 11-November 24.

Other great events and festivals include the OC Fair & Event Center Events OC Electronics Show (September), Gem Faire and Kidsfaire (October), and the Sugarplum Festival's Arts & Crafts Show (October-December).
