Cascades - Skiing / Snowboarding

Modestly-sized Mount Shasta Ski Park is the ski resort of the Cascades, but don't let size deter you -  the setting sets this fine ski area apart. Mount Shasta is the second highest peak in the Cascades and formed, no less, of four overlapping volcanic cones. Come prepared for both beginner and advanced terrain parks, a good selection of intermediate runs and night skiing. There's also a Nordic center and miles of backcountry trails perfectly suited to the cross-country skier or snowshoer.
