Chico - Whitewater Rafting

Chico isn't known for its wild rivers but in the general region there are one or two hair-raising runs. Try the terrifying Deer Creek River or the spectacularly wild Upper Sacramento.

Deer Creek Up to Class V
This beautiful, but very, very rough river is a little bit isolated, but all the more wildly lovely for it. If you can enjoy the scenery, that is, while your raft leaps these mad rapids.

Sacramento River - Upper Sacramento Up to Class V
2-3 Days

Yuba River Up to Class V
1/2 - Full Day
On Yuba River's North Fork thrillseekers can find exciting California big water in gold mining country.
