Deer Springs Trail to San Jacinto Peak

This is a hike meant to be a backpacking trip - you'll want to take this 18 mile monster overnight. The views from the high slopes of the San Jacinto Mountains are truly awe-inspiring, however.

Fee: $5 - $30 to enter the forest.
Difficulty: Difficult
Length: 18 miles
Elevation Change: 5,000 feet
Time to Allow: Overnight

You'll find the trail head on Highway 243, just across from County Park Visitor Center.
