Eastern Caribbean Cruise Vacations

Caribbean - Eastern

The Eastern Caribbean features the idyllic Virgin Islands and splendid San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as numerous other islands. While not technically part of the Caribbean, many cruises also include a stop in the exquisite Bahama Islands. Because of the distances involved between destinations, a lot of time is spent cruising at sea resulting in a slower, relaxed pace for your vacation.

The Eastern Caribbean Islands include the Bahamas and those islands that form the border between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. All of the major cruise lines offer trips in the Eastern Caribbean so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from year round.

Things To Do

As you would expect the islands of the Eastern Caribbean feature superb sandy beaches for swimming, snorkeling or just lounging with an oversized fruity drink. St Thomas and St John in the Virgin Islands are particularly noteworthy snorkeling destinations. Beautiful golf courses are yours to enjoy in the Bahamas and some other islands.

You can also explore the history of the area. Hundreds of years ago English, Dutch and Spanish explorers built churches, fortresses and other buildings that are interesting to explore.

Natural beauty of another kind can be found at the El Yungue Rain Forest National Park near San Juan, Puerto Rico.
