The grassy hills surrounding Lake Berryessa are dotted with oak and Manzanita and provide excellent opportunities for spotting eagles, hawks, deer, and even wild turkey. Up above, you may spot great blue heron, snow geese, and loons.

For those whose perfect getaway include dropping a line or two, a wide variety of fish can be found in Lake Berryessa. Both cold and warm water species are represented, including bass, rainbow trout, brown trout, bluegill, crappie, and catfish.
