Los Angeles - Hiking

Los Angeles may be so associated with palm trees, shop-lined avenues and leisurely beaches that hiking there might seem like an odd idea. However, you'll find plenty more to hike than the sidewalks. Angeles National Forest has more than enough trails for any intermediate hiker, a hiker rewarded by stunning gorges and accessible peaks. A couple of hikes, such as the Mount Baldy Trail, are nothing short of grueling - but the scenery is all the more breathtaking for that.
