Mexico Cruise Vacations

Mexico

Mexico is a land of fascinating history, enchanting local culture, and beautiful scenery. With warm temperatures year round, and so many ports to visit, it is a very popular destination for cruises.

Thousands of miles of beautiful shoreline beckon on both the east and west coast of Mexico. The superlative western coastline features the Mexican Riviera, a land of spectacular glowing sunsets and quiet ports of call. Also along the western coast is Baja California featuring Cabo San Lucas, whale watching and similarly beautiful landscapes.

The Yucatan Peninsula on the east coast of Mexico is world-famous for its wonderful beaches, clear warm waters, and the famous destinations of Cozumel, Cancun and Costa Maya. Cruises to this part of Mexico are considered Western Caribbean Cruises, so you can find more information in that section of our site.

Things To Do

In all Mexican ports of call you find the typical open-air markets. You can spend many hours browsing for Mexican crafts, pottery and silver jewelry. Enjoy a cold cervesa or Margarita in an open air cafe or while you eat your fill of the wonderful Mexican cooking. You’ll find the people friendly and welcoming.

On both coasts are wonderful sandy beaches for just relaxing and enjoying the surf hitting shore.

Along the Western Coast ports, the deep blue waters are known for sport fishing and depending on the time of year, whale watching. Fine golf courses are available at some ports of call. Other active excursions include sailing, sea kayaking, horseback riding, hiking and even mountain biking.

The Eastern Coast, especially Cozumel, is known for exceptional scuba diving and snorkeling. Beautiful reefs, clear blue waters, and abundant marine life are the norm. You will also have the option on the east coast for sailing, sea kayaking, horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking. A visit to the spectacular ancient stone pyramids of Chitza Nitza or Tulum built by the Mayan peoples is another very popular excursion on the Eastern Coast.
