Modesto - Fishing

Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted varieties of bass, as well as salmon and crappie can all be found within Modesto's big lakes - Lake New Melones, McClure and Don Pedro. Rainbow trout is a common catch in the Stanislaus River and in several of the smaller creeks and lakes in the area.
