Mojave Desert - Biking

There's a starkness to the Mojave Desert that, in places, has been compared to the surreal strangeness of Southern Utah. The Calico trail system takes in a particularly fascinating (and technically tricky) stretch of Mojave Desert sand and rock. Be sure to come prepared for dramatic highs in summer, seasonal winds and far cooler temperatures in winter months (sometimes even snow).
