Mojave Desert - ATV - Jeep - Offroad

ATV Information
ATV Information

The Mojave Desert is good to off-roaders. Dunes and volcanic rock are the stuff that OHV enthusiasts' dreams are made of, and the area is remote enough to keep numbers down so don't expect to do much road sharing.  jThe Dumont Dunes roll down to an incongruous desert river, Johnson Valley is especially varied in its landscape (and elevation changes), while Rasor and Stoddard Valley both have a system of peaks and dips, duney ups and downs. In the national preserve there its also possible to explore Caruthers Canyon, Clark Mountain and the Aiken Mine Road via 4-Wheel Drive vehicle; just be sure to check road conditions on the preserve's site before setting out.

Dumont Dunes OHV Area Beginner

Miles and miles of riding 3 hours+
These are dunes indeed, running low and rolling between steep volcanic rock on one side and the Amargorsa River on the other.

Johnson Valley OHV Area Intermediate
Difficult
Miles and miles of riding 3 hours+
Johnson Valley is another exciting desert landscape, and that landscape is everything from hill to dry lake to mountains.

Rasor Off-Highway Vehicle Area Beginner
Intermediate
Difficult
Miles and miles of riding 3 hours+
Rasor is pure desert off-roading and secluded to a degree that few off-roading areas are. You can take to these dunes and valleys and experience no sound at all save the wind and your own motor.

Stoddard Valley OHV Area Intermediate
Difficult
Miles and miles of riding 3 hours+
Stoddard Valley is an intense, steep rolling kind of off road area, and you'll climb desert mountains and plunge into equally desert valleys.
