Monterey - Scenic Drives

The Pacific Coast Highway keeps close to the wild shore, but Monterey has shorter, more specific scenic drives. Route 156 treats you to miles and miles of cultivated fields and Route 68 winds from the Salinas River toward the ocean.




Pacific Coast Highway - California's Route 1 At least two days for a quick trip, but many days or even weeks could be spent exploring the length of this byway.


Route 156--Monterey County 4 miles (6 km) 10 minutes


Route 68--Monterey County 14 miles (22 km) 20 minutes
