San Diego - Fishing

Pacific Ocean fishing can be enjoyed from San Diego’s many municipal piers or on a day of charter fishing with local operators. The Ocean Beach fishing pier, nearly half a mile long, is a popular spot for bonito, surf perch, corbina, and yellowtail. The Islas los Coronados are both big boating destination and fishing hot spot with abalone, yellow fin, and big-eyed tuna on the menu. For local freshwater fishing head to inland lakes and rivers near San Diego known for trout, crappie, Florida bass, and bluegill. Be sure to have all the appropriate state fishing licenses in order before baiting your hook.
