San Diego - Fishing

Pacific Ocean fishing for can be enjoyed from San Diego’s many municipal piers, or from charter boats along the coast or out in the deep waters. The Ocean Beach fishing pier, nearly half a mile long, is a popular spot to fish for bonito, surf perch, corbina, and yellowtail. The Islas los Coronados are a popular boating destination and anglers can hook abalone, yellow fin, and big-eyed tuna there. Or, for inland fishing, lakes and rivers near San Diego are filled with trout, crappie, Florida bass, and bluegill, among others. A state fishing license is required for everything but pier fishing.
