The beaches near San Luis Obispo make for spectacular offroading experiences - the scenery is completely unlike the cacti and brush desert or, indeed, the tourist-crowded beaches of Los Angeles. An offroading experience here is one of clean salt air and natural ocean vistas. There are dunes here, though, amazing dunes of sea-deposited sand.
