Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park - Scenic Drives

Explore ancient pines through the Ancient Bristlecone Scenic Byway. And ancient in this case is truly ancient, nearly predating all of human civilization. The oldest of these trees are found along the Methuselah Trail. Then there are those other ancient trees, the Sequoia, explored via the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway. Massive trunks rise high overhead and so do canyon walls.

Ancient Bristlecone Scenic Byway (Route 168) 34 miles (54 km) 2 hours

Kings Canyon Scenic Byway 50 miles (80 km) At least one hour
