With over 23,000 acres to explore with over 120 miles of trails, you can visit South Cow over and over again and still have a completely different experience each time. This is wild land, not quite desert, not quite forest, with chaparral slopes that also support stands of pine.

Take California Highway 101 from Ukiah and take the Talmage Road exit. Stay east on Talmudge Road for about 1.5 miles, then take a right at Old River Road. Go 0.3 miles to Mill Creek Road and take a left. Head east for 6 more miles and you'll be at South Cow Mountain.
