Yosemite National Park - Boating

The Stanislaus National Forest has a good number of small lakes, excellent for a quiet row under pine branches. The Sierra National Forest is much the same, scattered with small, scenic and slightly isolated bodies of water. Boating here is very peaceful. But if you'd like to take to the water on a bigger boat, Yosemite is close to such famous houseboating lakes as Lake McClure and Lake New Melones. We have special coverage on McClure and New Melones if houseboating in the shadow of Yosemite appeals to you.
