Primitive campground located on large, flat area adjacent to the North Fork Stanislaus River. Surrounded by mature conifer forest. Boy Scout Camp nearby.
Steep unimproved road; high clearance, four wheel drive vehicles required. Not accessible for trailers.
Emergency medical services available in the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas (Highway 49). Gas, groceries, camping supplies available in Arnold, Camp Connell, Bear Valley, and Lake Alpine.
Great fishing for wild (non-stocked) Brown and Rainbow Trout. Good deer hunting access.

Basic Directions
Highway 4 to unmarked, unimproved turnoff just east of Big Meadow Campground main entrance, on the south side of the Highway; follow this road two miles south to campground. Look for signs to Camp Wolfboro.
