The trail follows an old gated road down to the South Fork of the Smith River where you'll find a beautiful little campsite. The trail crosses the river and then climbs steeply through old growth forests and ends at picturesque Island Lake.
Note: Trailhead access is limited by gate closures during the wet season, generally mid-October through mid-June.
