Description

Quincy-La Porte Road to Johnsville-Gibsonville Road, T22N, R1OE, Section 9. This segment is 8.0 miles long. The trail climbs to Bunker Hill Ridge and then follows the ridge. Vegetation alternates between red fir stands and open rocky ridges with spectacular views. After crossing several roads, the trail leaves Bunker Hill Ridge with a slight descent skirting the northeast side of Mt. Etna (T.22N., R.1OE., Section 26) in the vicinity of an old trail and mine. The trail utilizes an old ditch for several hundred yards before crossing a manzanita field and descending to the Johnsville-Gibsonville Road. All vehicles and bicycles are PROHIBITED on the Pacific Crest Trail.
