The trail is located off of Jones Ridge on FS Road 27N02, and goes into the Yolla Bolly Wilderness.
Description
The Red Mountain Trail was used in the late 1870’s to access a small roadhouse called Red Mountain House. It also took travelers to connecting trail systems as far away as the county seat in Weaverville.
