Description

The Robert Mondavi Winery is famous for its wine, pressed from local fruit and far from just grapes. Plum wines, wines touched with a hint of lemon or blackberry . . . the tastes are intermingled with each other and every strain is unique. You'll find wines typical to Napa Valley and also rarer ones, such as district and reserve wines.

But the Robert Mondavi wines are not the only reason for the winery's fame, although they are well praised indeed. The winery's tour has been voted the best of its kind in the valley. And there isn't just one. Tour through the wine-making process, take a lunch tour, take an extravagant three-hour tour-exploration of the flavor of wine.

Wine-tasters are in for a real treat as well. Besides the three-hour tasting tour, you'll find both highly formal tastings and more casual ones, and even educational ones. If you're interested in wine, but no expert, this is a good place to start your review of Napa Valley wineries.
