Description
Route 151—Shasta Dam Boulevard curves along ridgelines providing wild views of the three Shastas: Mt. Shasta, Lake Shasta, and Shasta Dam which created California's largest reservoir. The land and lakes surrounding this drive are pure and enticing, offering truly beautiful views and opportunities for recreation.
Route 151—Shasta Dam Boulevard branches off of I-5 north of Redding. HWY 151 passes Shasta Lake City and ends at Shasta Lake and the end of the drive.
Fishing is one of the main forms of recreation along the drive, with Shasta Lake being home to 16 different types of fish from bass to trout and sturgeon. There are not very many towns along the drive so coming here is sure to be a quiet way to get away from it all.
