Description
Route 395—Inyo County Scenic Byway runs through the wild heartland of California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. The drive travels by some of the most amazing public lands that North America has to offer, places like Yosemite, Death Valley, and Sequoia National Parks. This region is nothing but gorgeous mountain scenery laced with an amazing energy that will leave an adventurous traveler refreshed and in awe of California's natural side.
Route 395—Inyo County Scenic Byway travels entirely on I-395 near the California/Nevada border. The route starts From Fort Independence, 32 miles north of Madera, and ends at Fish Springs Road
A range of outdoor-oriented activities are offered en route, including miles of hiking and biking trails. Small towns occasionally punctuate the route, offering local color, high-priced gasoline and a range of other amenities.
