Description

The San Rafael River flows swiftly but without rapids through the great scenery of the San Rafael Swell west of Green River and north of I-70. High cliff walls rise above the river in this area known as the "Little Grand Canyon." ..Put in is typically at Fullers Bottom and take out is at the San Rafael Campground 15 miles and 5 to 6 hours later. (Further on are dangerous rapids.) Outfitters from Green River and Price will set you up with equipment and provide transportation.
