Santa Cruz County is one of the few places where a hiking journey can begin in an old growth redwood forest, wind past graceful waterfalls and end on a pristine beach. It contains 14 state parks with hundreds of miles of hiking, horseback riding, and mountain bike riding trails. Only minute’s away Santa Cruz beach boardwalk offers one of the nation’s oldest and last amusement parks on the beach. Join an ocean fishing or whale watching excursion.
