Trail begins at west end of Odell Lake and ends at Yoran Lake. This gradually climbing trail starts in a forest of Engelmann spruce, silver fir and noble fir. At approximately 1 mile, there is a wet meadow. The trail continues to a mountain hemlock/white fir forest with small openings near the lakes.
The trail enters the Diamond Peak Wilderness Area shortly after leaving the trailhead. Wilderness Permits are required for both day-use and overnight travel in the Wilderness from Memorial Day Weekend until Oct. 31. Permits are available at the trailhead.
