Henry Coe State Park

Basics
Type:
State Parks

Description

With over 87,000 acres of wilderness, Henry Coe is the largest state park in Northern California. The terrain varies from ridges and canyons to streams and ponds, providing all kinds of outdoor recreations. Hikers can take advantage of over 250 miles of trails, ranging from nature walks to view butterflies and wildflowers to steep climbs that test even the most stalwart. Mountain bikers can gear up for challenging runs on many of the trails. But be aware that in Coe Park, there are no easy trails.

While Henry Coe State Park has several ponds and lakes stocked with fish, anglers will have to work for their catch. None of the rivers or lakes have vehicle access, so be prepared to hike over rugged terrain to reach your location.

Plan to stop by the Visitor Center at the start of your trip for maps and more information.
