Description

Parker Dam spans the Colorado River between Arizona and California, 155 miles downstream from Hoover Dam. Lake Havasu is a major recreational area in an arid region where large natural bodies of water are nonexistent. It's beautiful here at Lake Havasu. The sky is blue, the air is clean, and the sparkling blue water with its beautiful mountain backdrop is truly a sight to see! Just about every night it seems you can reach up and pluck the stars from the tranquil desert sky.

Visitors seek Havasu's clear, cool waters; well known for various water sports, including water skiing, speed boating, jet skiing, sailing, canoeing and houseboating. Lake Havasu is fringed with coves and inlets, and deep waters, which provide ideal fishing conditions for black and striped bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish and trout. Public shorelines provide extensive beaches, and several camping and swimming areas around the lake.
