Description

The Scott River is a designated Scenic and Recreational River within the National Wild & Scenic Rivers System.

Popular with the local community in the summer months, the Jones Beach Day Use Area provides an excellent swimming area. A bit farther downstream, visitors will find good fishing holes and campgrounds.

This river is also floated by whitewater enthusiasts; however, some portions of the river require expert skill in this sport. For whitewater rafting information on this and other local waters see the Klamath National Forest River Center site.

Forest campgrounds, Indian Scotty and Bridge Flat are along the Scott River road and Sarah Totten Campground is located near the confluence with the Klamath River on Highway 96. The campground map or fishing map may be helpful in locating more information on specific areas.
