Orange County - Boating

Orange County counts within its county lines a stretch of ocean, a selection of creeks and assorted reservoirs giving boaters a variety of waters from which to choose. Consider a cruise through the bay or a leisurely paddle through sedate, canyon-shadowed waters as you plan your boat-based adventure - Orange County is home to both restless Pacific waves and comparatively calm lakes. Dana Point, near the southern edge of Orange County, is big with yachties, but even those short a gleaming boat can enjoy a cruise on a ferry ride out to Catalina Island (from Dana Point and Newport Harbor).
