Redding - Fishing

Lake Shasta is home to a wide variety of warm water fish, including bluegill, crappie, Small and Largemouth bass, bullhead, channel and White catfish and White sturgeon. Trout fishermen test their skill on Rainbow, Brown and Kamloops.

Also near Redding is Castle Crags State Park, with great fishing, and the Sacramento River, where anglers vie for Rainbow trout from April to November.
