Riverside California - Fishing

Riverside isn't exactly known for its fishing (there is, in fact, a river for this town to side, though it's not a fishing hot spot by any stretch), so the visiting angler will do well to consider a trip out to the lakes and creeks of San Bernardino National Forest.  Deep Creek and Jenks Lake are excellent for the trout fisherman, especially the angler after Brown or Rainbow trout; Redear and Largemouth bass are some of the other species you can catch in the vicinity. Head up to Big Bear Lake for crappie and pumpkinseed as well as  trout, sunfish and bass, or east to Salton Sea for tilapia.
