Route 140--Mariposa County

Route 140—Mariposa County Scenic Byway travels through a world of natural beauty, laced with mariposa wildflowers, waterfalls, and giant granite domes.

Route 140—Mariposa County Scenic Byway begins near Mariposa on HWY 140. Follow HWY 140 northeast past El Portal, to Yosemite Village and the end of the byway.

The region along this drive is known world-wide for its recreational opportunities. Find many miles of hiking and biking trails on hand, lovely secluded waterfalls, and cultural sights like Mariposa's mineral museum, with rare gems, paleontology exhibits and gold stampings on show.
