Yuha Geoglyph

What is a geoglyph? It's a massive symbol created in large scale on the ground. The Yuha Geoglyph is unusual in that it's intaglio, formed by removing the dark surface rock to expose the lighter soil underneath. These geoglyphs are very old, likely created around 1100 AD, and are protected by a fenced enclosure; sadly they have been twice vandalized, the second time after they were conscientiously recreated by the BLM and college students. The area is also known for its fossil finds.
