Burney Lake is very remote and there is no trail. It is, however, about an equal distance from Haypress, Lovers Camp, and Sulfur Springs Trailheads - approximately 10 miles. Another way to access Burney Lake is a cross-country hike from Cuddyihy Valley which commonly takes about one and one half hours.
