From the Tiller Ranger Station take County Road No.46, which becomes South Umpqua Road No.28, for 26 miles to Camp Comfort Campground. The entrance is on the right side of the road.

Description

Camp Comfort is located near the upper South Umpqua River. The water stays cool all summer and the campsites are shaded by large old-growth cedar and fir.

Camping, picnicking, and hiking. a 1/4 mile accessible trail leads from the shelter to the beginning of the South Umpqua River, at the confluence of Black Rock Fork and Castle Rock Fork.
