The East and South Forks of the Salmon River offer a variety of riparian areas to explore. A short distance up the South Fork of the Salmon River are a number of deep bedrock holes ideal for swimming or looking for salmon or steelhead. Further upstream are some old mining areas. The East Fork of the Salmon and Taylor Creek are the other nearby waterways to explore. Two miles downstream is the historical town of Cecilville.
