Joshua Tree National Park's strangely beautiful setting is what brings most tourists to the area, but there is also a cultural attraction or two worth considering if time allows. The Keys Desert Queen Ranch Tour, for one, is a particularly popular detour. This 90 minute walking tour explores a restored early 20th-century ranch tucked in a remote, rocky canyon, space is limited though, so advance booking is recommended.
