Description
The Lower Kern winds its way through the Greenhorn Mountains and features mostly intermediate class III-IV whitewater with one major portage around Royal Flush, a nasty jumble of unboatable rocks. The river cuts down a fantastic gorge lined with granite boulders.
The Lower Kern is commonly floated in a 1-2 day trip.
