The Kings Canyon Scenic Byway winds through Sequoia National Forest, Giant Sequoia National Monument, and Kings Canyon National Park. Though giant trees are the gnarly old stars in these parts the area's natural caves, cascades and hiking trails also deserve honorary mention.

The Kings Canyon Scenic Byway begins in the west at the border of the Sequoia National Forest on HWY 180, 40 miles north of Visalia. The byway stretches through Dunlap Valley, Kings Canyon National Park, and through to the Sequoia National Forest.

All the different parks on the drive have their own interpretive sites. Kings Canyon offers fishing and other water activities for those interested.
