at 5,700 feet in elevation, the trail head is at Spring Creek Campground. This 0.2 mile trail connects Spring Creek Campground and Frenchman Campground. Overnight camping is only allowed in the vicinity of Smith Lake, Grass Lake, Wades Lake, Rock Lake, and Jamison Lake.
