Climate
Truckee is one of the chilliest places in the United States . . . but not in the winter. Although temperatures in the winter are about what you'd expect from a high-elevation, northern town, the temperatures from summer to mid-fall are surprising. They are among the coolest in the nation, pleasantly mild even in the middle of summer, even with the sun bright overhead.
