Climate
Yosemite experiences a wide range of weather throughout the average year. Winter snowfalls drape the scenery in a white blanket and often close secondary park roads. The snow tends to melt by April or May, giving way to hot summers tempered by cool breezes and occasional afternoon thundershowers at higher elevations.
