Cascades - Biking

The lower end of the Cascades have a kind of lush intensity that makes a biking trip through these mountains something best taken slow. Of course, when there are roots and rocks under wheel, you may have to go slow anyway. But these sudden spreads of leaves and flowers, of wooded slopes and bald, volcanic peaks - they just may leave you in a meditative mood.
