Santa Cruz - Boating

Set a stone's throw from ocean, bay and numerous inland waterways, it should come as no surprise to find that boating offers a fresh approach to the city of Santa Cruz. Though it's possible to cover more distance by yacht or some other motorized watercraft, the best way to really understand this coastal region's "other" side is on a leisurely paddle or wind-powered sail. Tack across a deep blue stretch of Pacific or pack your kayak in for a trip to Calero or Anderson Reservoir if you're of the mind for a watery foray and a bit of peace.
