Santa Cruz - Scenic Drives

Since Santa Cruz is set on a particularly  pretty stretch of coast, just about any drive you take in the area could be considered scenic. Mix  views of the Pacific up with a cruise along Route 68, which runs alongside the Salinas River or a detour along Route 156, which penetrates the tawny fields of Central Coast farm country.

Pacific Coast Highway - California's Route 1 At least two days for a quick trip, but many days or even weeks could be spent exploring the length of this byway.

Route 156--Monterey County 4 miles (6 km) 10 minutes

Route 68--Monterey County 14 miles (22 km) 20 minutes
